Adorable Suede Flats
These adorable suede flats by Steve Madden certainly are not plain. The soft suede upper gives an alluring texture while the wide scoop vamp, suede ribbon, and gold button accent provide an asymetrical style that will dress up any casual outfit. Great for the office or weekend, these flats would go just as well with a skirt as they would jeans.

These suede flats will also transition well into the Fall 2009 season as suede will be a popular trend. The BRAVVOO Suede Flat comes in a great selection of colors at SteveMadden.com. Also, get free shipping (with no minimum purchase) and 25% off when you enter the coupon code: WeLoveCJ25. This offer expires on June 26, 2009.
The Steve Madden Bravvoo suede flat is available in sizes up to 10. If you wear a larger size, the Blowfish Segment is a georgeous suede flat with a similar asymetrical design to that of the Bravvoo.

The Blowfish Segment Flat is available in sizes 11-14 from Barefoot Tess. Barefoot Tess specializes in large size womens shoes and boots.
Black Slingback Sandals
As shoe collections debut, we see how each shoe designer translates the emerging trends for that season. Sometimes the variation is on an old classic, or it’s something new that we’ve not seen before, and sometimes it’s something outrageous. Whatever the case may be, these creations are fun to see for those of us that love shoes!
I’ve been shopping to replace a favorite pair of black slingback sandals that fit like a glove. The shoe that I’ve had my eye on is the Theory Vella from Jildor Shoes. However, there are so many other variations on this style that it’s difficult to decide on just one pair!

Beautiful Wooden Heel Sandals
I love the appearance of wooden heel sandals. There’s something about the natural grain of the wood underfoot, paired with a leather upper in the latest style, that makes wooden-heeled shoes so beautiful. This season, there’s no shortage of wooden heel sandals to choose from as many designers have put wooden heels in their 2009 Spring and Summer collections.
Personally, I prefer to find shoes that have solid wood instead of stacked wooden heels (thin layers of wood glued together). You will pay more for solid wood but the appearance of natural wood grain is well worth the beauty. Also, keep in mind that if the entire sole is made of wood, this makes for a very hard surface and can have an impact on the comfort of the shoe. Memories of my wooden clogs from the 70′s are coming back! They looked great back then but they were not very comfortable by the end of the day. However, you’ll find that most designers today will add something to cushion the footbed of wooden-soled shoes.
For me, the more wood the better, so I usually look for platform or wedge sandals. Here are a few of my favorite shoes with solid wood in the heels and platforms.
