I’ve been drawn to navy blue boots ever since I spotted the Daria Boot by Donald J Pliner. Now I’m seeing many other brands with blue boots in their Fall/Winter collections.   Navy blue boots stand out because they are an unusual color for leather and not the usual black or brown shade that we see and wear so often. However, navy blue boots are more versatile than you would think because they go with so many things and they are a great way to add color to your Fall/Winter wardrobe. Wear them with neutrals, such as black, brown, camel, and grey or with complementary colors such as orange, blues, and yellows.

Navy boots are a great way complement and add color to Fall/Winter wardrobe pieces in neutral shades. For many, navy is just the right amount of color without being too bright. It can also be classic and looks nice with traditional Fall patterns, such as plaids or tweeds. If boots aren’t your style, try some navy pumps or mules.

Navy comes in many hues and can be difficult to match with a blue outfit. It can also look a bit too matchy-matchy if matching with an all blue outfit. I find navy looks best when paired with neutrals and complementary colors.

I recently came across this lovely shoe collection by Lilita Leather Collection on Shoebuy.   The Lilita Leather Collection is a new brand founded by 2 Venezualan sisters, Carolina and Franzia Lopez.   Their goal is to “develop into a loved, adored, and desired brand, so that customers will search for styles from the Lilita Collection.” [LilitaShoes].  So far, from what I’ve seen of their collection, they should have no problem accomplishing this goal!

Via Spiga’s new Fall 2009 Collection is getting noticed and for all the right reasons. Why you ask? Well, it may be because it is the first collection from their new Creative Director, Paola Venturi. With nearly 2 decades of experience, Venturi has led creative design for some well-known design houses including Te Casan, Kate Spade, Calvin Klein, and Sergio Rossi (where she started her career).

Venturi is based in Italy but she recently visited Chicago earlier this month to promote her collection. During her visit to the Windy City, she was interviewed by Second City Style. You can read more about this talented Italian shoe designer here.

I’m quite impressed with this collection from Via Spiga. It’s feminine and sophisticated, yet it also has a playful and carefree style as well. I could easily have and wear all of these designs with my current Fall wardrobe. I’m looking forward to seeing more of Venturi’s designs, soon to be unveiled, in her Spring 2010 collection.

        

I love the simple and sleek lines on these ankle boots by Via Spiga shoes.   The Linden Ankle Boot features a suede or leather upper with side-zipper.   With a 3- ½ inch heel and ½ inch platform, these ankle boots are comfortable and can be worn with just about anything.

Black ankle boots are a must-have shoe this Fall and, if you don’t already have a pair, these chic ankle boots would be a great choice!   You can also get the Linden Boot in dark brown calf leather or in black or wine suede leather.

        

The Melrose 3 Black Bootie by Tory Burch is versatile and classic, making it the perfect little black bootie for Fall!   You’ll get nice height in these 4-inch boots, which are offset nicely by a ¾ inch platform.   This and the chunky, but stable, heel make this boot easy to wear all day!

It’s yet another great collection by London-based shoe designer, Rupert Sanderson.    Just take in these beauties from the Autumn/Winter 2009-10 collection.

Most notable are the perfectly balanced heels on the Seleste pumps (above). This is quite an engineering feat (no pun intended), don’t you think?  Also available in black and grey suede.

I’ve had my eye on these beauties since I first spotted them about a month ago.  The Perfume pump features blue python print with buckles across the instep and a sexy peep toe.

Here is the perfect pop of color for standing out in the crowd and getting noticed.   The Aspasia heel has a sleek design with hidden platform and fuchsia leopard print patent leather.

This has to be the most perfect ankle boot that I’ve seen so far this season!   The Jocasta ankle boot has beautiful and simple lines with a single buckle at the ankle.  What a gorgeous boot!
