Spring is here and all the latest styles have finally made their debut! The footwear styles on offer for Spring 2010 will surely have shoe lovers shopping with glee this season. Some trends, such as gladiators, are back again this year and with some surprising updates to delight.

One of the hottest trends we’ve seen on the runway are Wooden Platforms and Clogs. You can find this trend in every price range and in a wide variety of styles. If you are open to adding the latest updated clogs to your shoe closet, you will find some great styles by Jeffrey Campbell and Stuart Weitzman. However, if you don’t care for clogs, then then you must check out the wooden platforms. There are so many gorgeous styles available!

The gladiator sandal is back again this season and available in more styles than ever before! One of my favorite features in many of the latest styles of gladiator sandals is the rear zipper closure which makes them so easy to put on and take off, despite the straps and buckle designs. So, why not tap into your inner Greek goddess with a pair of gladiator sandals! Not only do they look great, but they are so comfortable to wear.

One of my favorite things about Spring and Summer shoes are the embellishments and this season it’s all about the beading! Colorful and intricate bead patterns adorn this season’s hottest sandals. Go ahead and add some bling to your shoe collection this season with a pair of Beaded Sandals! The colors are amazing and will sparkle under the Summer sun.

The official start of Summer is this weekend and, if you haven’t done so already, it’s a great time to don your favorite sandals and show off that pedicure!   With the warm weather months ahead, Summer sandals are in abundance and there are some amazing styles to choose from… including the ever-so-popular gladiator style, classic t-straps, and embellished thongs in shiny metallics.

Comfort and style should be equally important for your Summer activities and, with the current selection of sandals, you should not have any problems finding both.   Instead of wearing flip-flops, try wearing some strappy flat sandals. Strappy flat sandals are the perfect Summer shoe and will add style to your casual wardrobe this Summer.  They come in a variety of styles and go well with everything, including jeans, capris, dresses, and shorts.

Bernardo sandals are known for their timeless classic styles.  The Mars sandal is a great example of this; featuring multi criss-crossing straps and heel coverage.  You can get the Bernardo Mars sandal at Piperlime in gold or silver Jildor also has the Bernardo Mars sandal in black patent.

These lovely sandals from Bo’em feature mother of pearl bead ornamentation, soft bronze leather, and an adjustable buckle at the ankle.  The Bo’em Ariel sandal is available at Piperlime.

These are my favorite sandals.  The ‘Laurie’ sandal by Gabor features a simple and sophisticated design with soft leather and subtle decorative hardware on the t-strap and buckle.  The Gabor Laurie sandal is available from Piperlime.

Jeweled flat sandals are a hot trend and a great addition to your wardrobe this season.  My favorite jeweled sandals are Canfora Capri handmade sandals from Italy’s famed Isle of Capri, pictured below.
