Via Spiga’s new Fall 2009 Collection is getting noticed and for all the right reasons. Why you ask? Well, it may be because it is the first collection from their new Creative Director, Paola Venturi. With nearly 2 decades of experience, Venturi has led creative design for some well-known design houses including Te Casan, Kate Spade, Calvin Klein, and Sergio Rossi (where she started her career).

Venturi is based in Italy but she recently visited Chicago earlier this month to promote her collection. During her visit to the Windy City, she was interviewed by Second City Style. You can read more about this talented Italian shoe designer here.

Via Spiga V-Sorina Dress Shoe A chic and tailored suede pump with a strap and buckle across the instep.

I’m quite impressed with this collection from Via Spiga. It’s feminine and sophisticated, yet it also has a playful and carefree style as well. I could easily have and wear all of these designs with my current Fall wardrobe. I’m looking forward to seeing more of Venturi’s designs, soon to be unveiled, in her Spring 2010 collection.

These lovely suede Mary-Jane style pumps by Steve Madden Shoes get updated with the latest trends for Fall.   Metal studs and double-buckle hardware fastens a wide shiny snakeskin-embossed leather strap around the instep.   This texture extends down the wrapped 4-inch heel and contrasts beautifully with the rich suede leather upper.

They don’t just make watches and handbags.   The Texas-based company, Fossil, has a new womens’ shoe line out this Fall.   The designs are vintage-inspired with a modern twist.   Here are a couple of the new styles just in at Piperlime.

These are not your ordinary pumps. The Fossil Allison Peep Toe Pump has a sculptural platform and wooden heel that’s beautifully wrapped in rich full grain leather.   Available in grey suede leather (pictured above) or in black (with brown wrapped heel) or brown (with camel wrapped heel) in smooth leather.

The Fossil Misha Maryjane Pump is a modern update to an authentic vintage style. The contrasting buckle and just-right heel make it a great style for everyday wear.  Available in black (shown above) or brown.

For those not wanting to sacrifice great style in their comfort shoe, Dromedaris shoes are a great option.   The Dromedaris company was initially started in 1992 providing technical shoe manufacturing services to well-known brands such as Timberland, Tommy Hilfiger, Dansko, Columbia Sports, and L.A. Gear.   In 2007, they used their technical expertise in shoe manufacturing to launch their own comfort shoe brand.

Dromedaris uses a 3 density patented layer called Carbosan® in the footbed of all their shoes and boots.   This layer includes a soft cushion at the ball of the foot, anti-shock at the center of the foot to absorb the impact of every step, and a third density provides lateral stability and arch support to provide the best comfort.

I have to admit that, while I love comfort shoes, I often don’t find the styles very appealing.   This is not the case with Dromedaris!  Here are just a few of the great styles that are available right now at Shoe Buy.
